Yeah it really is something..... I've seen lots of ATF fluid and there's nothing like this one the way it has the tenacity and the way it clings to metal It's like glue but it flows with very little friction It's going to be interesting to see the way it is at negative 120° F
I don't remember it's in the video but if it was my transmission I would change the fluid every 30,000 miles of City driving if you're doing all highway driving you're good for about 60,000 miles the higher heat driving you do you want to change it sooner because the heat oxidizes the fluid and it loses its film strength. The once the car started the torque converter starts my friend Steven told me that it he's a transmission expert you do not have to shift through the gears all you do is let it get the operating temperature
Well the fluid is a small part it depends on the way the vehicle is driven and the way it is shifted. Shifting under load with a trailer for shifting downhill is totally different. Also the new transmissions have a lot of Gears so they do more shifting and that can fill up the filter with transmission particles quicker even though the fluid still good when the filter. Even when the transmission fluid is still good kid can have a filter that's full and no longer shift well
Yes it's always good to change the trans filter and clean the magnets and if you can to get a new gasket I usually go with the Wix filter if you are new to Amsoil this will give you the very best value on the products as the 6-month PC member and when you use my link that would attach me to you so in the future I can always answer all your questions about improving the performance and lifespan of your vehicle. ♥️ Find The Right Fluids For Your Vehicles - www.amsoil.com/guides/?zo=5331179 ✅ Save 25% On Your Next Fluid Order: www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/?zo=5331179

Yes it depends on the vehicle most of them are operating temperature meaning if you let the car idle for about 10 minutes pretty much be darn near operating temperature. The most important thing is to not overfill the transmission meaning if you put the fluid in when it was 30° out very cold and filled it to the top once the transmission gets heat soaked it would be over filled. That would be the biggest caution. Other than that it would be pretty tough to overfill the transmission as long as the transmission is heat soaked when you service it. The transmission fluid expands quite a bit when it's hot even shrinks when it's cold.
You'll see at the end I drive it in the one video you'll see I have a whole playlist on that car If you go through the playlists and the car shifts faster smoother it does that for any vehicle you put the ATF fluid in has a higher film strength keeps the metal separated under high pressure and it creates a stronger film. The film has nothing to do with the viscosity and has to do with how completed is VM's oil is 100% synthetic in makes a huge difference.
Would Amsoil ATF work in my 17 Chevy Volt? My understanding it’s a CVT transmission. I had the ATF changed at 40k and the dealer used Dexron VI. You can feel a bump sometimes from take off or when it switches to the secondary electric motor, also sometimes when it switches to the gasoline motor. The fluid change stop it but it came back after a few thousand miles. When the dealer changed it I asked for a sample and it was black. I was told by a Volt dealer tech that it’s normal because of the assembly lube used and other newer GM cars are the same. Thanks!
Yeah that sounds normal The always say that and that's the break in metallic too on any new transmission It should be changed pretty early that way you don't have all those particles floating in suspension
I'm about to do my 2016 camaro with the same trans. How do I know the right temperature it says check between 131 and 149 but I can't figure out how to read the trans gauge?
Great question I wouldn't be too technical with it I recommend making sure it's a good warm to hot trans mission you just want to make sure it's not cold because if it's cold you can overfill it and possibly have a major problem the fluid volume goes up as it gets hotter when it gets hold it cold it shrinks. You just want to make sure it's warm to hot fluid👍 If you ever want to try the products this will give you the best value on them as the 6-month PC member and when you use that link that would attach me to you in the future I can always answer your questions about improving the performance and lifespan of your vehicles by choosing the right fluids as your independent Amsoil dealer and you'll also see the promo code at the bottom. ✅ Save 25% On Your Next Fluid Order: www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/?zo=5331179 Promo: FREESHIP49 & 5AMS

Yeah that's normal wear metal in a new transmission that's the way they all are even if you change the fluid on that in 10,000 mi you'll have a little bit of that
Oh yeah it shifts much better faster smoother and less vibration in the drive train also I highly recommend doing the rear differential gear lube You'll see the video on that in the playlist on Dan's car

Great question I wouldn't be too technical with it I recommend making sure it's a good warm to hot trans mission you just want to make sure it's not cold because if it's cold you can overfill it and possibly have a major problem the fluid volume goes up as it gets hotter when it gets hold it cold it shrinks.
You just want to make sure it's warm to hot fluid👍

Looks like what I need as mine shutters, GM still won't help me? I've got an 8 speed :( Help!
If I had that Corvette if it was my personal vehicle I would do exactly what I did to my car you'll see on my playlist I did a pin drop at 5,000 miles and then came back 5,000 miles later and did it again and that changed out about 80% of the fluid my transmission shifts amazing now and I'm coming up on 50,000 miles and you're going to see the oil analysis and transmission fluid change coming up soon should be a month or so.

Wow.....lots of metal in there !
Yeah that's normal wear metal in a new transmission that's the way they all are even if you change the fluid on that in 10,000 mi you'll have a little bit of that
“Dropping nutzz”. Right. 🤔
😁😄, luckily we didn't spill the beans....... ☕
Just fix da cah ! Are you guys from maine ? Weres Ricky Craven ?
😄😁😆, I always joke around with Danny Dan has a really funny accent so I always screw around and do the accent too It's addicting 😃💯
Do you live the car turn on while you filling the last quartz ?
Too much... No sleep till Brooklyn Eben.
Cool. I totalled a corvette years ago while driving a S-10.....😂
Sweet!
Is this suppose to fix the infamous shudder?
Oh yeah it shifts much better faster smoother and less vibration in the drive train also I highly recommend doing the rear differential gear lube You'll see the video on that in the playlist on Dan's car
How many liters did you use
I think it was about five and a half
I would rewatch the video you'll see exactly how much
My cars coming up on 30K
full synthetic all the way for me
Yeah I actually made a video showing the difference between full synthetic and 100% synthetic - ruclips.net/video/f4eNPgTi_qo/видео.html

hey can i have a link where i can buy that tool?
I would check harbor freight or if you want super high-end tools I would go to snap-on
What spray they use to clean?
There's a bunch you got the glass cleaner you can use you can also use the Amsoil miracle Wash.
If it's metal you can use MP metal protector red can.
If it's rubber you can use the silicone spray.
Those are just a couple
@@Syntheticoilprotection thanks for your support appreciate. They used a spray for transmission directly when the oil ban was removed to clean the sides then after assembling everything they again did the same to cleaning the remaining oil drops that’s the one I’m interested to know for my Mercedes. 🙏
Oh yeah I forgot they have the Amsoil parts cleaner That's another one for cleaning metal parts
@@Syntheticoilprotection appreciate 🙏🙏
@@Syntheticoilprotection Man the oil is like dream really you was correct in everything appreciate ❤️🙏
Is synthetic oil better then full synthetic?
Yes there's different levels You got synthetic blend which can be one to 15% synthetic You have full synthetic which is 25% synthetic or more and then you have the AMS oil which is 100% synthetic 👍
Thx
S a a b stands for. “something an asshole buys “ !
Boom! We got an explosion! The Corvette will deliver nuclear bomb performance from now on 😂
My car also doesn't go in gear immediately and there's a thud if I press the gas right away. It's definitely got better with the new Toyota fluid but not entirely gone. Fortunately, that's not too big of a deal. It would be interesting to see how it goes with the Amsoil fluid.
It would be a totally different vehicle you'll get a load of this video This is of my number one preferred customer he has installed the fluids on about 25 different vehicles.

How much do they charge to do full transmission flush on 2016 escalade esv if we bring amsoil oil ?
Great question I would call Serigeo the Owner.

@@Syntheticoilprotection when are you going to have your next freezer pour off?
Not sure.
But we will have a lot more coming we're going to be getting into ATF fluids and gear lubes coolant and many diesel additives probably going to pour into the middle of the summer and or fall.
Damn sure is pain in the butt to change trans oil on this car🤪
Definitely a process 😁😄
Not the hardest definitely not the easiest...... Lol
the wetter the better
